How I Quit All My Addictions And Became A Super Human

I’ve been working as a system developer at a bigger company since June 2019 with focus on Identity Services. For a long time, I had major problems with constantly overeating or going out drinking with friends a bit more often than others. This was because I was constantly dealing with anxiety and wanted to calm it by any means possible. I’ve had all kinds of addictions to try to “treat” this anxiety. Going from one addiction to another in a hedonic treadmill hell.

In this article I'm going to explain how I got out of this hell and how I now live every moment in bliss instead.
The Hedonic Treadmill

In February 2024, I decided to see a psychologist for this anxiety, and together we eventually concluded that I had a childhood trauma that was causing it. I’ve been having this trauma for 25 years causing a personal nightmare. The trauma disappeared after this insight (it felt as if a demon left my body), and after that, I decided to become a sober Buddhist and focus on training. Now, my goal is to jog/gym as often as I can and practice martial arts to regain my self-confidence (which was diminished due to the trauma). One of the best way of living is in my mind Shaolin kung fu which combines Zen philosophy and martial arts. If you know how to defend yourself you get an extreme confidence which I think lacks in society today. It’s the holistic approach to life.

I no longer care about material things; what I care about is reaching as high a vibrational state as possible every day (creative energy, preferably “Enlightenment” in the image below), because then positive people/events are drawn into my positive energy field. It then feels as if my brain becomes 10 times more efficient, and all my senses become much more sensitive. I make much faster and better decisions, and my existence becomes entirely magical.

However, if one has a trauma, one is in the yellow-red fields and feels very bad, which leads to very negative events/consequences in one’s life. Then one needs to go to a psychologist or healthcare services to heal this trauma.

From my experience, everything Jordan Peterson is saying about how to live your life is correct and right now I see myself as a “David Goggins Light” and force myself to workout every day to first give love to myself so I later can give love others. Seek pain first, then you will receive bliss later. My average day looks as follows:

Daily schedule:

Morning

Jog/Swim/Cycle 30-40 minutes for mental health and clarity

3 min cold shower for mental health and clarity

Eat Keto/LCHF/Paleo and drink non carbonic acid, natural beverages to keep my blood sugar in check

Bliss until Lunch and work and be friendly with colleagues

Lunch

Jog/Swim/Cycle 30-40 minutes for mental health and clarity

Bliss until Evening and be friendly with colleagues

Bliss until night and hang out with friends, partner and family

Thoughts are really just visions of different places in time

Our thoughts are really just visions of different places in time. If I think about having to go to work, it is an event (“sitting in the office”) in a place (“Stockholm”) in time (“in 45 minutes”). Why people have difficulty focusing on what they want to “become” or “do” is because they are in a low vibrational state and have “1000 thoughts in their head” which leads to them not being able to focus on one thought at a time which leads that they make few or no decisions, which leads to them not developing at a particularly fast pace or at all. They then feel bad about this as they feel as if “they are not getting anywhere in life”.

If you also have some type of illness or trauma in your body, it disturbs your thoughts even more because the body wants to treat the anxious thoughts in different ways, e.g. comfort eating, turning to alcohol/drugs, checking Instagram, etc. and it feels as if you are in a negative compulsive spiral (destructive energy, red levels in the image). Focus on getting well from your illness/seeing a psychologist for your constant anxiety/trauma and get rid of it first to be able to change your focus to personal development later. This may take several weeks or months to clear up. It is of course possible to do both at the same time, but the focus should be on treating the diseased part of your body first.

If, on the other hand, you raise your vibration with exercise, meditation, the right diet, like-minded friends, cold showers and positive thinking, it is much easier to focus, which means that you can “time travel” to your future much faster. Therefore, it is very important to plan your life around exercise in order to live in an optimal, high vibrational state and reach your highest potential.

Everything in the universe is energy in vibration (including you). If you raise your vibrational state through certain positive activities, you gain increased focus, which allows you to focus on a vision more easily, which draws that vision into your reality faster. Why some individuals on this earth are more successful than others is because they have an easier time focusing on a vision than others + can convince others to help them achieve their vision, e.g. Elon Musk.

Choose a vision of a future that excites you. It should make your whole body get goosebumps. You can become anything you want, create anything you want, and see anything you imagine, if only you can focus on that vision long enough. You are the Creator of your life. Dare to take the step towards a fantastic future!
